COVID-19 has impacted all of us in an unprecedented way – as individuals and as a community. With social distancing restrictions and shelter-at-home policies, we continue to change and adjust our operations to adapt to our new environment.
Recent changes include:
Client Services:
- Anyone applying for services can do online at arlingtonurbanministries.org or by calling 817.861.8585.
- Case managers conduct client appointments via teleconference.
- The food pantry continues to distribute food to clients and is doing so by little contact with clients.
- Clients remain in their vehicles while food and other items are loaded into their cars for them.
- Our mobile food pantry has become a drive-thru mobile the first Wednesday of each month. Please call 817.861.8585 for more information.
- Hot Dogs for the Homeless is suspended until further notice.
Nu2U Resale:
- Nu2U Resale is now open but will modified hours. For hours or donations, please visit call the store 817.795.6379

Volunteer Activities:
- We have suspended our Volunteer opportunities until further notice.
Safety Precautions:
- Health and safety is a top priority so staff members are practicing proper hygiene and social distancing techniques, and have been provided gloves, masks, hand sanitizer, anti-bacterial soap for hand washing. Public areas and shared space is disinfected after use.
- Following the recommendations as noted by the Centers for Disease Control, to help prevent exposure to illnesses like the flu and the Coronavirus, we require that anyone exhibiting symptoms - fever, cough, difficulty breathing - stay away and seek medical care.
How You Can Help:
- Your support continues to be critical in order to assist and help families and individuals in crisis.
- Make an unrestricted financial contribution, which can be utilized where it is needed the most.
- Participate in special events - virtual Boots, Giving Day or other special events that may pop up!
- Donate gift cards to Walmart, Kroger or Amazon for staff to utilize when purchasing items for the food pantry. Please call 817.861.8585 to coordinate.
